The Provincial Energy Conservation Supervision Center held an exchange meeting on the green technology of ETU aerogel insulation and heat preservation coating.

    In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and accelerate the promotion and application of advanced and applicable green technologies, on March 20th, the Energy Conservation Supervision Center of Hunan Province, in collaboration with Hunan Liuyi New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., organized a green technology exchange meeting on ETU aerogel insulation and heat insulation coatings in Xiangtan Economic Development Zone. This meeting adopted a three-in-one model of "technology display + scenario discussion + supply-demand connection", aiming to comprehensively promote technical exchanges and cooperation. The chief scientist of the technology company gave a comprehensive explanation of the technical principles, performance advantages, and national policy orientations of the aerogel insulation and heat insulation coatings. The application units, Hunan Geely Automobile Vocational College and Datang Xiangtan Power Generation Co., Ltd., shared practical cases of the aerogel insulation and heat insulation coatings in the fields of construction and industry. The experts present commented and analyzed this technology, fully affirming its technical value and application prospects, and proposed relevant suggestions. The China Building Materials Industry Planning Research Institute and Hunan Liuyi New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. held a plaque-giving ceremony for the "Aerogel Material Industrialization Joint Construction Demonstration Base" on the spot at the meeting.

    The experts present unanimously agreed that aerogel possesses a unique nanoscale 3D network structure, which can isolate heat from three aspects: thermal conduction, thermal convection, and thermal radiation. Aerogel coatings have excellent insulation and heat preservation properties, as well as fire resistance, waterproofing, moisture resistance, anti-corrosion, sound insulation, noise reduction, and aging resistance. They are lightweight, easy to install, and can be widely applied in various fields such as construction, industry, and agriculture. In the future, it is necessary to further study the effective utilization of the national green and low-carbon support policies, improve the standard system, expand application scenarios, strengthen demonstration applications, and increase publicity and promotion efforts. The representatives of the participating enterprises stated that through the exchange and discussion, their understanding and application of aerogel coatings have been deepened, providing a new technical path for enterprises to carry out carbon reduction renovations.

    Experts from the China Building Materials Industry Planning Research Institute, Hunan University, Hunan Provincial Building Materials Research and Design Institute, Hunan Provincial Circular Economy Research Association, Hunan Provincial Dual-Carbon Innovation Service Center, Hunan Provincial Construction Technology and Building Energy Conservation Association, as well as relevant leaders from the Development and Reform Commission of Xiangtan City, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Xiangtan City, and Xiangtan Economic Development Zone, representatives from 12 enterprises such as Sinopec Hunan Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Hunan Construction Investment Group, and Hunan Huali Xiangtan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., participated in the exchange activity.
